Zantac and ranitidine products have been discovered to contain hazardous levels of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), a documented carcinogen. Longtime users have begun to experience serious complications, such as cancer of the stomach, lungs, liver, and more.

Why are supply chain companies and retailers named Defendants?

Almost every study that has been published, including the citizen petition from Emery Pharma, has cited the fact that ranitidine molecules are time and temperature-sensitive, meaning that longer storage times or higher storage temperatures can contribute to higher levels of NDMA. 

These two factors are common occurrences when shipping, storing, and distributing drugs, and so that is why more companies are continuing to be mentioned.
