Justin Schmidt
Justin Schmidt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Brigham Young University and his Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School. He has been actively litigating cases in California and Nevada since 2007 and has recently begun to litigate cases in Washington. He has handled jury and bench trials in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and Riverside County, California, and he has even argued appellate cases in Riverside, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties. Notable successes in his career include significant victories in employment disputes and personal injury cases, demonstrating
his commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for his clients.
Justin is licensed to practice law in California, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, and Washington. He practices with Van Law Firm, which has multiple offices, including locations in Monterey Park and Pasadena, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Lakewood and Yakima, Washington.
After years of representing corporate defendants, Justin realized his true passion lay in helping individuals. He works tirelessly to ensure each client receives the attention they deserve during challenging times following an accident or injury. Known for his calm demeanor and sense of humor, he effectively manages stressful situations and maintains positive relationships with both clients and opposing counsel.
Having spent significant time living abroad during his formative years,Justin has gained insights into different languages, cultures, and diversity. This experience enables him to fluently speak with clients in both English and Spanish, ensuring that they feel understood and supported.
When he’s not litigating cases, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 active boys. He has been a Little League coach for the last 7 years and participates in his sons’ various athletic activities, from soccer tournaments and beach activities to mountains and snow. When schedules line up, he loves to travel with the family to experience new adventures in new destinations.
